How does Fig evaluate ingredients?

Last updated: December 15, 2022

We’ve worked with dietitians and community experts to evaluate ingredients on Fig and link them to several diets, allergens, and avoidances. When you look at a specific food, Fig will compare your restrictions to suspected ingredients for that food. If there are likely incompatible ingredients, we’ll let you know!

However, ingredient and allergen statements can change at any time, and Fig is not perfect. For that reason, be sure to always double-check product labels before purchasing or consuming anything. Contact food manufacturers and/or restaurant staff to confirm you can safely eat any food you find on Fig, especially if you have severe food allergies or cross-contamination concerns.
