Bright, tangy, and flushed with the color of fresh berries, this raspberry lemonade is the kind of drink that makes a regular afternoon feel like a special occasion. The raspberry syrup is made from scratch by simmering fresh raspberries with maple syrup and water until they break down into a gorgeous, jewel-toned liquid — no artificial dyes, no mystery additives, just real fruit doing its thing. Straining the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve gives you a silky-smooth base that blends beautifully with freshly squeezed lemon juice and cold water. The result is perfectly balanced — sweet, tart, and refreshing in a way that store-bought mixes simply can't match. Because every ingredient here is a whole, single-purpose food, there's zero concern about hidden condiment derivatives or cross-contamination from processed flavorings. You can easily dial the sweetness or tartness up or down to suit your crowd, making it as crowd-pleasing or as puckery as you like. Serve it over ice with a few lemon slices and a sprig of mint for a glass that looks as good as it tastes.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the berries have completely broken down and the syrup is a deep pink-red, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes.
