Bright, bubbly, and beautifully pink, this sparkling drink is the kind of thing you want to sip on a warm afternoon when you need something refreshing but a little more special than plain water. The homemade raspberry syrup is the real star — simmered down with maple syrup until it's rich and jammy, then strained smooth so every sip is silky and vibrant. Fresh lemon juice cuts through the sweetness with just the right amount of tartness, and the sparkling water brings it all together with a satisfying fizz. Condiment-heavy drinks and store-bought mixers can hide surprising ingredients, but this one is made entirely from fruit, natural sweetener, and water — nothing sneaky in sight. A sprig of fresh mint or a lemon slice on the rim makes it feel genuinely festive without any extra effort. It's the kind of drink that looks like it came from a fancy café but comes together in your own kitchen with just a saucepan and a strainer.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the berries have completely broken down and the syrup is slightly thickened, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold, at least 30 minutes.
