Now in beta for Fig+ members
If you cook with food allergies, intolerances, or a medically necessary diet, you know the recipe routine: find something that looks delicious, then read the ingredient list line by line, wondering which items are safe, which depend on the brand you buy, and which will need a workaround. Multiply that by every diet in your household, and “what’s for dinner?” becomes a research project.
We built Fig to answer “can I eat this?” at the grocery store and at restaurants. Today, we’re bringing that same answer to your kitchen: Fig Recipes is now in beta, included with your Fig+ subscription.

Fig Recipes isn’t a collection of recipes tagged “gluten-free” or “vegan” and left for you to figure out the rest. Every recipe is rated against your personal Fig ā the full combination of diets, allergens, and individual ingredients you’ve set up in your profile.
When you browse, you’ll see at a glance which recipes are likely a fit for you. Managing food needs for more than one person? Switch between household profiles right from the top of the screen to find dishes that work for whoever you’re cooking for.

Open any recipe and you’ll see the whole ingredient list rated against your Fig, using the same color system you know from scanning products:
Tap any ingredient to see why it got its rating and what to do about it. No more pausing mid-recipe to search “is miso gluten-free?” ā the answer is one tap away.

Because so much depends on the specific product, Fig connects recipes directly to your shopping. For ingredients that vary by brand, Fig suggests specific products that fit your Fig, so you can shop with confidence instead of squinting at labels in the store aisle.
And when an ingredient is a no-go, Fig doesn’t leave you stranded. You’ll see a suggested swap ā a substitute that keeps the dish intact ā along with real products that match your needs. Each swap comes with a chef’s tip where it matters, so you know things like “rice noodles cook faster than lo mein noodles” before dinner turns to mush. The goal isn’t just a recipe you can make ā it’s a recipe that actually turns out great.

Search for whatever you’re craving, filter by recipe type, and save the keepers to a list so they’re ready when you are. And when you make something you love, snap a photo and leave a review ā you’ll help other Fig members figure out what’s worth making, the same way their reviews help you.
Fig Recipes is included with Fig+ at no extra cost. To try it:
Fig Recipes is brand new, and Fig+ members are the very first ones in. That’s on purpose: your feedback has shaped every part of Fig, and this feature will be no different. If a rating seems off, a swap misses the mark, or there’s something you wish Recipes did ā tell us. You can share feedback right from the app, and we read all of it.
Now go cook something great. š½ļø
