Dried smoked paprika can sometimes contain mold toxins, but the small amount in this recipe—about 1/8 teaspoon per serving—is likely tolerated by many. When possible, use a recently purchased organic spice and store it tightly closed in a cool, dry place. If you prefer to always avoid smoked paprika, please tap it and change its rating to Red.

In a small bowl, combine the dried dill, dried parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, and 1/2 tsp of the salt. Stir to mix and set aside.
Heat 1 1/2 tbsp of the avocado oil in a 12-inch cast iron skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the diced sweet potatoes in a single layer and season with the remaining 1/4 tsp salt. Cook undisturbed for 4–5 minutes until the undersides are golden and beginning to crisp, then stir and continue cooking for another 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sweet potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork and browned on most sides.
