Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper or foil.
In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tbsp of the olive oil, the lime juice, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne, 1/2 tsp of the salt, and the black pepper until combined. Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish, pour the marinade over them, and turn to coat. Set aside to marinate for 15 minutes at room temperature while you prepare the vegetables. Reserve the marinade dish — do not reuse the marinade on the cooked fish.
