Cooking often breaks down the heat-sensitive proteins that trigger oral allergy syndrome, so the cooked apple juice in this recipe is likely tolerated by many with OAS. If unsure, consult your doctor. To always avoid apple juice, tap it and change its rating to Red.

Combine the apple juice, grated ginger, turmeric, and Ceylon cinnamon stick in a small saucepan over medium heat. Warm, stirring occasionally, until the liquid is steaming and small bubbles form at the edges, about 7–8 minutes — do not bring to a full boil.
Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the honey and apple cider vinegar until the honey is fully dissolved.
