Ripe summer peaches, bright lemon juice, and a handful of fresh mint come together in a drink that tastes like the best possible version of a backyard afternoon. The peaches are simmered down into a silky homemade syrup that carries real fruit flavor — nothing artificial, nothing from a bottle. Muddling the mint directly in the pitcher releases those cool, herbal oils so every glass gets that garden-fresh fragrance from the very first sip. Because the whole thing is built from whole fruit, sugar, and water, there are no hidden spice blends or flavoring extracts to second-guess, which makes it a genuinely easy choice for anyone avoiding certain warming spices. The balance of tart lemon and sweet peach syrup is easy to tweak right in the pitcher, so you can dial it to exactly where you want it. Serve it over ice with a lemon slice and a sprig of mint and it looks as good as it tastes.

Combine the chopped peaches, sugar, and 1/2 cup water in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and the peaches soften and begin to break down, about 8–10 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and let the mixture cool for 20 minutes. Pour through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl or measuring cup, pressing the peach solids firmly with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
