Oregano is fine during pregnancy in normal cooking amounts - this recipe uses about 1/4 tsp per serving. The caution is about concentrated oregano oil and large medicinal doses.






















Drain the tofu and press it firmly between two clean kitchen towels or paper towels, pressing down with your hands or a heavy pan for about 5 minutes, until most surface moisture is removed. Crumble the pressed tofu into rough, irregular pieces about the size of a large pea — uneven crumbles give the best texture.
Combine the poblano pepper, onion, garlic, chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, cumin, oregano, chili powder, and salt in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed, until you have a thick, uniform sauce.
