This refreshing drink is the kind of thing you'll want to keep in the fridge all week — bright, citrusy, and just sweet enough to feel like a treat without going overboard. The secret is a lime zest–infused agave syrup that steeps before being strained into the pitcher, layering in a floral, slightly tropical depth that plain sugar water simply can't match. Fresh-squeezed lemon juice does all the heavy lifting on tartness, so every sip tastes genuinely alive rather than flat or artificial. Since every single ingredient here is naturally free of wheat and gluten-containing grains, there's zero label-reading stress — just citrus, agave, water, and zest doing their thing. It's also fully plant-based, so it works for just about any guest at the table. Serve it over a big pile of ice with a lemon or lime slice on the rim and it looks almost too pretty to drink — almost.

Combine the agave syrup, 1/2 cup water, and lime zest in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the agave is fully dissolved, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the syrup steep for 15 minutes so the lime zest infuses fully.
Pour the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher, pressing the zest lightly to extract all the liquid. Discard the solids.
