Tart, bright, and impossibly refreshing, this homemade lemonade gets a fragrant upgrade from a lime zest–infused agave syrup that you simply can't find in any bottle at the store. The trick is letting the zest steep in the warm syrup so every sip carries that floral citrus depth alongside the sharp punch of fresh-squeezed lemon juice. Agave dissolves beautifully without any fuss, making it a naturally plant-based sweetener that keeps the whole drink clean and simple. Everything here is pure fruit, water, and a touch of sweetness — no animal products, no hidden additives, nothing to second-guess. You can dial the tartness up or down right in the pitcher, which means it's easy to tailor to whoever you're pouring for. Served over ice with a few citrus slices, it looks stunning on a table and tastes like something a fancy café would charge way too much for.

Combine the agave syrup, 1/2 cup water, and lime zest in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the agave is fully dissolved, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the syrup steep for 15 minutes so the lime zest infuses fully.
Pour the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher, pressing the zest lightly to extract all the liquid. Discard the solids.
