Bright, citrusy, and genuinely refreshing, this lemonade gets an unexpected lift from a lime zest–infused agave syrup that makes it taste far more interesting than anything you'd pour from a bottle. The trick is steeping the finely grated zest right in the warm syrup, which coaxes out all those fragrant, floral oils before you ever add a drop of lemon juice. Agave dissolves beautifully without any fuss, giving the drink a clean, smooth sweetness that lets the citrus shine front and center. Every single ingredient here is naturally plant-based, so there's zero guesswork about what's in your glass — just fresh lemon juice, cold water, and that gorgeous infused syrup. It's easy to dial the tartness up or down to your taste, which makes it a crowd-pleaser whether you're serving kids or adults. Pile the glasses high with ice, drop in a few citrus slices, and you've got something that looks as good as it tastes.

Combine the agave syrup, 1/2 cup water, and lime zest in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the agave is fully dissolved, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the syrup steep for 15 minutes so the lime zest infuses fully.
Pour the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer into a pitcher, pressing the zest lightly to extract all the liquid. Discard the solids.
