Staying hydrated gets a serious upgrade when you swap plain water for something this fragrant and pretty. Fresh strawberries and blueberries bring a natural sweetness and that gorgeous pale pink color, while a split vanilla bean adds a subtle warmth that makes every sip feel a little indulgent. A low-nickel approach to drinks can be tricky since many flavored waters and store-bought infusions rely on ingredients that don't always play nicely with nickel sensitivities — but this one keeps things clean and straightforward. Lightly pressing the blueberries before adding them to the pitcher is a small step that makes a big difference, coaxing out both color and flavor without any added syrups or sweeteners. After a few hours in the fridge, the water transforms into something that looks like it came from a fancy spa menu. Serve it over ice with a sprig of fresh mint and you have a refreshing, crowd-pleasing drink that works for everyday sipping or a special occasion spread.

Hull and slice the strawberries into halves or thirds. Lightly press a few of the blueberries with the back of a spoon to break the skin — this helps release their color and flavor into the water.
