Creamy, golden, and packed with serious flavor, this hummus brings together some of the most celebrated inflammation-fighting ingredients in one effortless dip. Ground turmeric gives it that gorgeous warm hue, while freshly grated ginger and a bloom of garlic cooked gently in olive oil build a fragrant base that store-bought versions simply can't touch. A generous squeeze of fresh lemon, earthy tahini, and a hit of cumin round everything out into something that tastes far more complex than the ingredient list suggests. The trick of streaming in ice water while the food processor runs is what takes the texture from grainy to silky-smooth — don't skip it. Extra-virgin olive oil gets drizzled on at the end, adding richness and another layer of goodness that fits right in with a whole-foods, anti-inflammatory approach to eating. This makes six servings, so it's ideal for meal prep, a party spread, or keeping in the fridge all week for snacking with whatever you have on hand.

In a small skillet over medium-low heat, warm 1 tbsp of the olive oil. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant and just softened, about 1–2 minutes. Watch closely — garlic can brown quickly. Remove from heat and let cool for 2 minutes.
Add the drained chickpeas, tahini, remaining 2 tbsp olive oil, lemon juice, turmeric, cumin, black pepper, salt, and the cooled garlic-ginger mixture to a food processor. Process for 1 minute until the mixture is roughly combined.
