Combine the dairy free milk, pitted dates, tahini, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until steaming and the dates have softened, about 4โ5 minutes. Do not boil.
Carefully pour the hot mixture into a blender. Add the vanilla extract, if using. Blend on high for 30โ45 seconds until completely smooth and frothy.
