This vibrant, jewel-toned spritzer is the kind of drink that feels like a treat while actually doing something good for your body. The homemade berry syrup is built around blueberries, raspberries, or strawberries โ all rich in antioxidants โ and gently spiced with turmeric, cinnamon, and a pinch of black pepper, which helps activate the turmeric's beneficial compounds. Honey adds natural sweetness without any refined sugar, and a squeeze of fresh lemon keeps everything bright and balanced. Muddled basil brings an herby, aromatic depth that makes this feel far more sophisticated than your average mocktail. It's completely caffeine-free and made with wholesome, recognizable ingredients, so it's an easy yes during a time when you're being thoughtful about what goes into your body. The sparkling water keeps it light and refreshing, making it a genuinely satisfying alternative to reaching for something sugary or store-bought. Make the berry syrup ahead of time and keep it in the fridge so you can assemble a glass whenever you need a moment to yourself.

Combine the berries, water, honey, turmeric, cinnamon, and black pepper in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir to dissolve the honey, then cook, stirring occasionally and lightly pressing the berries against the pan, until the berries have broken down and the syrup is deep red-purple and slightly thickened, about 8โ10 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the lemon juice. Pour the syrup through a fine-mesh strainer into a heatproof pitcher or measuring cup, pressing the solids to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, about 20 minutes, or speed it up by setting the pitcher in a bowl of ice water.
