Add the milk, beet powder, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and black pepper to a small saucepan. Whisk well to combine, breaking up any clumps of beet powder.
Warm the mixture over medium-low heat, whisking occasionally, until steaming and just beginning to show small bubbles at the edges — about 5–6 minutes. Do not bring to a full boil.
