Fresh strawberries muddled with lime juice and maple syrup create a vibrant, jewel-toned base that tastes like summer in a glass. The combination of bright citrus, natural fruit sweetness, and a pinch of salt makes every sip surprisingly complex — nothing one-note about it. Straining out the solids gives the drink a clean, smooth texture, so the sparkling water can do its thing and keep everything light and effervescent. Pouring the fizz slowly down the side of the glass is a small step that makes a real difference, keeping that satisfying bubble all the way to the last sip. It comes together with just a handful of whole, recognizable ingredients, so there's no label-reading stress or wondering what's hiding in a store-bought mix. A lime wheel and a sprig of fresh mint on top make it look genuinely impressive, whether you're serving it at a backyard gathering or just treating yourself on a weeknight.

Place the strawberries, lime juice, maple syrup, and salt in the bottom of a large measuring cup or pitcher. Muddle firmly with a cocktail muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon until the strawberries are fully broken down and deeply red, about 30 seconds.
Set a fine-mesh strainer over a bowl or large measuring cup and pour the muddled mixture through it, pressing on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much juice as possible. Discard the solids.
