Bright, fruity, and refreshingly tart, this strawberry lime iced tea is the kind of drink that makes a hot afternoon feel instantly better. Fresh strawberries are crushed and strained to create a gorgeous deep-pink infusion, while lime juice adds a citrusy zing that keeps every sip lively. Maple syrup sweetens the black tea base in a way that feels natural and smooth rather than cloying. The whole thing comes together with simple, whole ingredients β no syrups from a bottle, no mystery additives, just real fruit and tea doing their thing. Naturally free of grains and starches, this is one of those recipes where avoiding rice or rice-derived ingredients isn't even a consideration β it simply doesn't belong here in the first place. Serve it over a generous pile of ice with a lime slice and a sprig of fresh mint for a glass that looks as good as it tastes.

Bring 3 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Remove from the heat, add the tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bags, then stir in the maple syrup until dissolved. Set aside to cool for 10 minutes.
While the tea cools, combine the strawberries and 1 cup cold water in the saucepan (or a separate bowl). Use a fork or the back of a spoon to crush the strawberries until they release their juice and the water turns deep pink, about 1 minute.
