Bright, fruity, and refreshingly tart, this strawberry lime iced tea is the kind of drink that makes a hot afternoon feel instantly better. Fresh strawberries are crushed and strained to create a gorgeous deep-pink infusion, which gets layered with bold black tea and a squeeze of real lime juice for a flavor that's anything but ordinary. Maple syrup steps in as the sweetener, giving just enough mellow sweetness without overpowering the fruit. The whole thing comes together in one pitcher and chills in the fridge until you're ready to pour it over ice. Garnished with lime slices and fresh mint, it looks like something you'd order at a fancy café — but it's completely homemade with simple, wholesome ingredients. Every component in this recipe is naturally free from tree nuts of any kind, so you can sip without a second thought.

Bring 3 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Remove from the heat, add the tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bags, then stir in the maple syrup until dissolved. Set aside to cool for 10 minutes.
While the tea cools, combine the strawberries and 1 cup cold water in the saucepan (or a separate bowl). Use a fork or the back of a spoon to crush the strawberries until they release their juice and the water turns deep pink, about 1 minute.
