Bright, fruity, and refreshingly tart, this strawberry lime iced tea is the kind of drink that makes a hot afternoon feel like a celebration. Fresh strawberries are crushed and strained to create a gorgeous deep-pink infusion, while lime juice adds a citrusy zing that keeps every sip lively. Maple syrup sweetens the black tea base in a way that feels natural and smooth rather than cloying. Many bottled teas and flavored drink mixes sneak in unexpected grain-derived additives, so making this from scratch means you know exactly what's going in your glass. Every ingredient here β fruit, tea, citrus, and a touch of maple β is completely free of barley and any grain-based fillers. It's an easy, crowd-pleasing pitcher drink that looks stunning with a few lime slices and fresh mint floating on top.

Bring 3 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Remove from the heat, add the tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bags, then stir in the maple syrup until dissolved. Set aside to cool for 10 minutes.
While the tea cools, combine the strawberries and 1 cup cold water in the saucepan (or a separate bowl). Use a fork or the back of a spoon to crush the strawberries until they release their juice and the water turns deep pink, about 1 minute.
