This drink is the definition of summer in a glass — fruity, herbal, and just sweet enough to feel like a treat without being cloying. Fresh strawberries are simmered down with maple syrup until they release a gorgeous deep-pink juice, then fresh basil steeps right into that syrup for a flavor combination that feels way more sophisticated than the effort involved. The whole thing comes together with brewed black tea and cold water, so every sip has that classic iced tea backbone with a bright, garden-fresh twist. Every single ingredient here is naturally free from tree nuts of any kind, so there's no label-scanning or cross-contamination stress — just clean, wholesome refreshment. It's the kind of pitcher drink you'll want to keep in the fridge all week, ready to pour over ice whenever the mood strikes. Garnish with a sprig of basil and a few strawberry slices and it looks like something straight off a café menu.

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. Remove from the heat, add the tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove and discard the tea bags, then set the brewed tea aside to cool slightly.
While the tea steeps, combine the halved strawberries, maple syrup, and 1/2 cup water in the same saucepan (or a second small saucepan) over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries have softened and released their juices and the liquid is a deep pink, about 8 minutes.
