This vibrant, jewel-toned spritzer is the kind of drink that makes any occasion feel a little more special — whether you're hosting a summer gathering or just treating yourself on a Tuesday afternoon. Fresh raspberries are simmered down with maple syrup into a gorgeous, deeply colored syrup that brings natural sweetness and bold berry flavor to every sip. Bright squeezed lemon juice cuts right through the sweetness, and chilled sparkling water lifts the whole thing into something refreshing and effervescent. Every single ingredient here is naturally free from grains of any kind, so there's absolutely nothing to second-guess — no labels to scrutinize, no hidden additives to worry about. The homemade raspberry syrup is the real star, and once you've made it, you'll want to keep a batch in the fridge all week. A sprig of fresh mint and a lemon wheel on the rim turn it into something that looks almost too pretty to drink — almost.

Combine the maple syrup and water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the maple syrup dissolves, about 1 minute. Add the raspberries and cook, pressing them gently with the back of a spoon, until the berries have broken down and the syrup is deep red, about 3–4 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a small bowl or measuring cup, pressing the solids firmly with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids. Let the raspberry syrup cool to room temperature, about 10 minutes.
