Fresh raspberries and real lemon juice make this spritzer genuinely vibrant — the kind of drink that looks like it took way more effort than it actually did. The homemade raspberry syrup is the secret, cooked down with maple syrup and water until it turns a gorgeous deep red, then strained smooth before it ever hits your glass. Every ingredient here is clean and recognizable, which matters when you're trying to keep things gentle on your digestive system without sacrificing flavor. Sparkling water keeps it light and fizzy, and there's no refined sugar, artificial sweetener, or mystery additive in sight. It's naturally refreshing, beautifully layered in color, and easy to batch up for a crowd or just pour for yourself on a slow afternoon. The optional mint and lemon garnish push it from casual to genuinely impressive with almost zero extra effort.

Combine the maple syrup and water in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the maple syrup dissolves, about 1 minute. Add the raspberries and cook, pressing them gently with the back of a spoon, until the berries have broken down and the syrup is deep red, about 3–4 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a small bowl or measuring cup, pressing the solids firmly with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids. Let the raspberry syrup cool to room temperature, about 10 minutes.
