Fresh blueberries and bright mint come together in a drink that looks stunning and tastes even better — deeply fruity, a little herbal, and lifted by a squeeze of lime. Muddling the berries and mint together releases their natural flavors into a vivid purple base that's genuinely beautiful poured over ice. Maple syrup brings just enough sweetness to round everything out without tipping into sugary territory, and the sparkling water keeps every sip light and refreshing. Because the whole thing is built from whole fruit, fresh herbs, and a handful of pantry staples, there's no need to scan labels for hidden sodium or worry about what's sneaking into your glass. The straining step is a small but satisfying move — it gives you a silky, jewel-toned liquid that feels far more polished than the effort involved. Pour it slowly down the side of the glass to keep those bubbles alive, and don't skip the lime wedge garnish if you want to really impress.

Combine the blueberries, mint leaves, maple syrup, lime juice, and cold water in a pitcher. Muddle firmly with a muddler or the back of a wooden spoon until the blueberries are fully crushed and the mint is bruised and fragrant, about 30 seconds.
Set a fine-mesh strainer over a large measuring cup or bowl and pour the muddled mixture through it, pressing the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids.
