In a small bowl, combine the dried oregano, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Rub the spice mixture all over the beef chuck roast, pressing it into the surface on all sides.
Place the seasoned roast in the slow cooker. Drizzle the 3 tablespoons of olive oil and the 3 tablespoons of lemon juice over the top, then pour the beef broth around the base of the roast.
