Only large or medicinal amounts of horseradish are a concern in pregnancy. This recipe uses about 1/4 tsp per serving, which is a normal condiment amount.

Make the remoulade: whisk together the mayonnaise, Creole mustard, 1 tbsp hot sauce, lemon juice, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, and garlic powder in a small bowl until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Set a wire rack over a baking sheet. Pour enough vegetable oil into a large skillet or Dutch oven to reach about 2 inches deep and heat over medium-high heat until it registers 350°F (175°C) on an instant-read thermometer.
