Comfort food doesn't get much more satisfying than a bubbling skillet of savory meat filling crowned with a cloud of creamy mashed topping, and this version delivers every bit of that cozy, stick-to-your-ribs energy. Ground lamb is browned until rich and deeply flavored, then simmered with carrots, celery, mushrooms, and a fragrant blend of thyme, rosemary, turmeric, and ginger — the kind of filling that makes the whole kitchen smell incredible. Coconut aminos and apple cider vinegar add a subtle savory depth, while arrowroot starch thickens the bone broth into a glossy, spoonable sauce that holds everything together beautifully. Instead of the traditional potato topping, cauliflower florets are boiled until completely tender and mashed with coconut oil into something surprisingly smooth and satisfying. The whole thing goes into a hot oven until the peaks of the mash turn golden and the filling bubbles up at the edges — that visual alone is worth the effort. Every ingredient here is straightforward and whole-food based, so there's no need to scrutinize labels or worry about hidden nut additions sneaking into your dinner. Finish with a scatter of fresh parsley and let it rest just long enough to serve clean, gorgeous scoops straight from the skillet.

Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C). Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the cauliflower florets and cook until completely tender and easily pierced with a fork, about 12–15 minutes. Drain thoroughly and return to the pot.
Add 2 tbsp of the coconut oil and 1/2 tsp salt to the drained cauliflower. Mash with a potato masher or beat with a hand mixer until smooth and creamy, with no large lumps remaining. Taste and adjust salt. Set aside.
