Comfort food doesn't get much more satisfying than a bubbling skillet of savory meat filling topped with a cloud of creamy mash, and this version delivers all of that warmth without any of the usual heavy ingredients. Ground lamb is simmered with carrots, celery, mushrooms, and a fragrant blend of thyme, rosemary, turmeric, and ginger, then brought together with bone broth for a deeply nourishing, collagen-rich sauce. Bone broth is a standout ingredient here ā it adds minerals and gut-supporting goodness that make this dish especially well-suited for the postpartum period when your body is working hard to recover and produce milk. The cauliflower mash topping is whipped smooth with coconut oil, so it's rich and satisfying without relying on dairy, which can be a common sensitivity concern during breastfeeding. Coconut aminos and apple cider vinegar add a subtle depth to the filling that makes it taste like it simmered all day, even though the whole process is straightforward and manageable. Anti-inflammatory turmeric and ginger are quietly doing their thing in the background, supporting your body without making the dish taste medicinal in the slightest. Finish it with a scatter of fresh parsley and you've got a wholesome, deeply comforting meal that genuinely feels like it was made with care.
