Shepherd's pie is the kind of deeply satisfying comfort food that earns a permanent spot in the dinner rotation, and this version delivers every bit of that hearty, warming magic. The filling is built on ground lamb slow-cooked with carrots, celery, mushrooms, and a fragrant blend of thyme, rosemary, turmeric, and ginger ā all brought together with bone broth and arrowroot starch for a rich, glossy sauce that clings to every bite. Instead of a traditional potato topping, a cloud of whipped cauliflower mash seals everything in and turns golden at the peaks in the oven. Coconut aminos and apple cider vinegar do the heavy lifting in the flavor department, replacing any grain-based sauces or thickeners that could sneak barley into the dish. Every ingredient here is straightforward and easy to verify, so there's no second-guessing labels or hunting for specialty substitutes. The whole thing comes together in one oven-safe skillet, which means less cleanup and a genuinely impressive presentation straight from the pan to the table. Finish it with a scatter of fresh parsley and let it rest just long enough to cut clean, satisfying portions.
