Fresh raspberries and real lemon juice make this sparkling drink feel genuinely special, like something you'd order at a nice brunch spot rather than mix up at home. The homemade raspberry syrup is the real star — simmered down with maple syrup until it's deeply ruby-red and just thick enough to coat the back of a spoon. Straining out the solids gives you a silky, jewel-toned base that blends beautifully with bright citrus and cold sparkling water. Because everything here is built from whole fruit, citrus, and a natural sweetener, there's no need to scan labels for hidden additives or worry about what's lurking in a store-bought mixer. Each glass gets a generous pour of syrup, fresh lemon juice, and a fizzy top-off, so the flavors stay bold and layered all the way to the last sip. A lemon slice and a sprig of mint on the rim make it look effortlessly put-together for guests, though it's honestly just as satisfying on a quiet afternoon by yourself.

Combine the raspberries, water, and maple syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the berries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the raspberries have completely broken down and the liquid is deep red and slightly thickened, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a heatproof bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, about 20 minutes, or speed it up by setting the bowl over an ice bath.
