Bright, tangy, and beautifully pink, this sparkling drink is the kind of thing that makes you feel like you're treating yourself without any of the ingredients you're currently trying to avoid. Staying well-hydrated while nursing is genuinely important, and plain water gets old fast — this is the upgrade your water bottle could never be. The homemade raspberry syrup is the real star here: fresh berries, a splash of water, and a touch of maple syrup simmered down into a jewel-toned, naturally sweetened base that's completely free of caffeine, alcohol, or anything questionable. Fresh lemon juice adds a zippy brightness that balances the sweetness perfectly, and the sparkling water gives it that satisfying fizz you might be missing from other drinks right now. It comes together in under 30 minutes and makes four gorgeous glasses, so it's just as easy to serve at a baby shower or postpartum gathering as it is to sip solo during a quiet moment. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lemon wheel and it honestly looks like something from a fancy restaurant menu.

Combine the raspberries, water, and maple syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the berries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the raspberries have completely broken down and the liquid is deep red and slightly thickened, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a heatproof bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, about 20 minutes, or speed it up by setting the bowl over an ice bath.
