Bright, tangy, and flushed with the color of fresh summer berries, this pitcher drink is the kind of thing that disappears fast at any gathering. A quick homemade raspberry syrup — made by simmering real raspberries with maple syrup and water — gives it a depth and fruitiness that no store-bought mix can touch. Because the sweetness comes entirely from maple syrup rather than refined sugar or mystery syrups, you know exactly what's going into every glass. There are no hidden vegetable oils or processed additives to worry about here, just fruit, citrus, and water working together beautifully. Freshly squeezed lemon juice keeps the flavor sharp and alive in a way that bottled juice simply doesn't, and the whole thing comes together in under half an hour. Serve it over ice with a sprig of mint and a lemon slice for a drink that looks as good as it tastes.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the berries have completely broken down and the syrup is a deep pink-red, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes.
