Tart, fruity, and brilliantly pink, this homemade lemonade is the kind of drink that makes a regular afternoon feel like a special occasion. A quick raspberry-maple syrup is simmered on the stove until the berries break down into a deep, jewel-toned base, then strained smooth before meeting freshly squeezed lemon juice and cold water in a big pitcher. The result is bright and refreshing with just the right balance of sweet and tangy — and you can nudge it in either direction with a splash more water or an extra squeeze of lemon. Every ingredient here is naturally free from peanuts and tree nuts, so there's no label-scanning or cross-contamination stress to worry about. Maple syrup stands in for refined sugar and gives the syrup a subtle warmth that plays beautifully against the citrus. Serve it over ice with lemon slices and fresh mint for a glass that looks as good as it tastes.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the berries have completely broken down and the syrup is a deep pink-red, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes.
