Bright, tangy, and flushed with the color of summer, this pitcher drink is built entirely from whole, recognizable ingredients — fresh raspberries, real lemons, and maple syrup. That matters more than it might seem, because many store-bought lemonades and flavored syrups sneak in preservatives and synthetic additives that people avoiding parabens and similar compounds are trying to steer clear of. Here, you make a quick raspberry syrup on the stovetop, strain it until it's silky smooth, then stir it straight into freshly squeezed lemon juice and cold water. The result is a gorgeous deep pink lemonade that tastes genuinely fruity — not artificially flavored — with a natural sweetness from the maple syrup that plays beautifully against the citrus bite. You can dial the tartness or sweetness up or down right in the pitcher, which means it's easy to make everyone at the table happy. Served over ice with a sprig of mint and a lemon slice, it looks like something from a fancy café but comes together with almost no effort.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the berries have completely broken down and the syrup is a deep pink-red, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes.
