Bright, tangy, and flushed with the color of fresh summer berries, this lemonade is the kind of drink that makes you want to sit outside and do absolutely nothing productive. The raspberry syrup is made from scratch by simmering real fruit with maple syrup and water, then straining it into a silky, jewel-toned concentrate that blends beautifully with freshly squeezed lemon juice. Every single ingredient here is whole and recognizable, which means none of the flavor enhancers or additives that sneak into store-bought drink mixes and flavored syrups. Maple syrup does the sweetening in place of refined sugar or corn syrup, giving the drink a subtle depth that plays really well against the tartness of the lemons. You can dial the sweetness and acidity up or down at the end to suit your taste, which makes this feel genuinely personal rather than one-size-fits-all. Serve it over ice with a few lemon slices and a sprig of mint for something that looks as good as it tastes.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the berries have completely broken down and the syrup is a deep pink-red, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes.
