Tart, fruity, and brilliantly pink, this raspberry lemonade is the kind of drink that looks like it came from a fancy café but comes together in your own kitchen with just a handful of clean, simple ingredients. A homemade raspberry syrup made with fresh berries and maple syrup gives it a deep, jewel-toned color and a natural sweetness that store-bought versions simply can't match. Because iodine restrictions often mean steering clear of certain food dyes, additives, and processed sweeteners, this recipe is a genuinely refreshing find — every ingredient here is straightforward and whole. Fresh-squeezed lemon juice keeps things bright and tangy, and you can easily dial the tartness or sweetness up or down to suit your taste. Serve it over ice with a few lemon slices and mint sprigs for a drink that feels celebratory without any of the label-reading stress.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the berries have completely broken down and the syrup is a deep pink-red, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes.
