Bright, tangy, and flushed with the color of fresh summer berries, this drink is the kind of thing you want sweating in a pitcher on the counter all afternoon. The raspberry syrup is made from scratch by simmering real fruit with maple syrup and water, then straining it into a silky, jewel-toned concentrate that tastes nothing like the artificial stuff. Fresh-squeezed lemon juice brings the pucker, and together the two create a lemonade that's layered and genuinely refreshing rather than one-note sweet. Because the sweetness comes entirely from maple syrup and the natural sugars in the raspberries, there's no added salt anywhere in the process — just clean, fruit-forward flavor from start to finish. That makes it a great choice when you're keeping a close eye on sodium but still want something that feels like a treat. Serve it over plenty of ice with a few lemon slices and a sprig of mint, and it looks as good as it tastes.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, and 1/2 cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the berries have completely broken down and the syrup is a deep pink-red, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, about 15 minutes.
