Bright, bubbly, and beautifully pink, this sparkling drink is the kind of thing that makes any afternoon feel like a special occasion. A homemade raspberry syrup — cooked down with maple syrup and water, then strained until silky smooth — forms the heart of the drink, delivering bold berry flavor without any of the mystery ingredients hiding in store-bought mixes. Fresh lemon juice adds a zippy tartness that balances the sweetness perfectly, and chilled sparkling water brings the whole thing to life with a satisfying fizz. Because every ingredient here is straightforward fruit, natural sweetener, and water, there's nothing to second-guess for anyone navigating seed sensitivities — no hidden seed oils, no seed-derived additives, just clean and simple components. The straining step is key: it removes all the raspberry solids so you're left with a jewel-toned syrup that looks as gorgeous as it tastes. Garnish with a lemon slice and a sprig of fresh mint and it's practically ready for a photo before anyone even takes a sip.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the berries have completely broken down and the syrup is slightly thickened, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold, at least 30 minutes.
