Bright, tangy, and deeply refreshing, this sparkling drink is built on a homemade raspberry syrup that you simmer down from fresh berries, maple syrup, and water — no shortcuts, no mystery ingredients. The syrup gets strained until it's silky smooth, then chilled before meeting a generous pour of fresh-squeezed lemon juice and fizzy sparkling water. The result is a gorgeous blush-pink cooler that tastes like summer in a glass. For anyone navigating grain sensitivities, drinks can be a surprisingly tricky category, but every single component here is naturally free of any grain-based additives or thickeners — just fruit, citrus, and bubbles. A handful of fresh mint and a few lemon slices on the rim take it from casual to genuinely impressive without any extra effort. It's the kind of thing you'll want to batch up for a backyard gathering and watch disappear in minutes.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the berries have completely broken down and the syrup is slightly thickened, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold, at least 30 minutes.
