Bright, bubbly, and beautifully pink, this sparkling drink is the kind of thing you want to sip on a warm afternoon when something refreshing is absolutely non-negotiable. The homemade raspberry syrup is the real star — fresh berries and maple syrup are simmered down until thick and jammy, then strained into a silky, jewel-toned liquid that tastes nothing like anything from a bottle. Squeezed lemon juice brings a sharp, sunny tartness that balances the sweetness perfectly, and chilled sparkling water ties it all together with a satisfying fizz. Because every ingredient here is whole and unprocessed — fresh fruit, citrus, maple syrup, and water — there's zero concern about hidden additives or flavor enhancers sneaking into your glass. It's the kind of drink that looks impressive enough for a dinner party but is genuinely simple to pull together at home. A few mint sprigs and lemon slices on the rim make it feel extra special without any extra effort.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the berries have completely broken down and the syrup is slightly thickened, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold, at least 30 minutes.
