Tart raspberries, bright lemon, and a touch of maple syrup come together in a sparkling drink that feels genuinely refreshing without relying on refined sugar or artificial flavors. The homemade raspberry syrup is the real star here — simmered down from fresh berries and strained until silky smooth, it delivers deep fruit flavor with none of the seeds or pulp. Maple syrup steps in as a gentler sweetener, which is a smart swap when you're keeping an eye on ingredients that can be harder on digestion. Fresh lemon juice adds a clean, zingy backbone that balances the sweetness perfectly. Everything gets finished with chilled sparkling water for that satisfying fizz, making it feel like a proper treat rather than a compromise. It's the kind of drink you'll want to batch ahead and keep in the fridge all week — pretty enough to serve to guests, easy enough to make just for yourself.

Combine the raspberries, maple syrup, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally and pressing the raspberries against the side of the pan with a spoon, until the berries have completely broken down and the syrup is slightly thickened, about 6–8 minutes.
Pour the raspberry mixture through a fine-mesh strainer set over a bowl or measuring cup, pressing firmly on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the solids. Let the syrup cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until cold, at least 30 minutes.
