Creamy, herbaceous, and loaded with good fats, this blended dip brings together chickpeas, ripe avocado, fresh basil, and walnuts in a way that feels indulgent but is made entirely from whole, recognizable ingredients. That matters more than it might seem — many store-bought dips and spreads rely on synthetic preservatives like BHA and BHT to extend shelf life, and they can sneak into packaged foods without much fanfare. Here, everything goes straight from your cutting board into the food processor: garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, turmeric, and nothing you can't pronounce. The avocado gives it a silky richness, while the walnuts add a subtle earthiness that makes this feel more like a pesto-hummus hybrid than a standard dip. A drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a scatter of chopped walnuts on top make it look genuinely beautiful on a platter. Paired with crisp cucumber rounds, carrot sticks, celery, and red bell pepper strips, this is the kind of snack spread that disappears fast — no preservatives required.
