Chocolate and peppermint together in a cold, fizzy drink is one of those combinations that just works every single time. This sparkling cocoa spritz gets its sweetness from maple syrup and its cooling kick from peppermint extract, so every sip feels refreshing and indulgent at once. Many store-bought chocolate drinks and flavored sparkling beverages sneak in thickeners and stabilizers that can be hard to spot on a label — this one is blended from scratch with nothing you wouldn't recognize. The whole thing comes together in a blender in under a minute, then gets a slow pour of chilled sparkling water to keep that satisfying fizz intact. A dusting of cocoa powder and a few fresh mint leaves on top make it look far fancier than the effort involved. It's the kind of drink you'd happily serve at a brunch or sip solo on a warm afternoon, and you know exactly what went into every glass.

Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup, peppermint extract, cold water, ice cubes, and salt to a blender. Blend on high for 20–30 seconds until the mixture is smooth and uniformly combined with no visible cocoa streaks.
Divide the blended mixture evenly between two tall glasses. Pour 1/2 cup of chilled sparkling water into each glass, pouring slowly down the side of the glass to preserve the fizz.
