These little chocolate cups are the kind of treat that looks like it came from a fancy confectionery but comes together with a handful of wholesome, recognizable ingredients. Dark chocolate with more than 70% cacao, fresh strawberries, blueberries, walnuts, almonds, maple syrup, and coconut oil — every single component is clean and straightforward, which matters a lot when you're avoiding synthetic preservatives like BHA and BHT that sneak into so many packaged chocolates and mixed nuts. The cool mint runs through both the chocolate shell and the fruit-and-nut filling, so every bite has that refreshing lift balanced against deep, bittersweet cocoa. Silicone mini muffin pans do all the heavy lifting here, giving you perfectly formed little cups without any special equipment or candy-making experience. The filling is bright and juicy from the fresh fruit, with satisfying crunch from the roughly chopped walnuts and almonds, and the maple syrup ties it all together with just enough sweetness. A finishing pinch of flaky sea salt on top is optional but genuinely worth it — it makes the chocolate flavor pop in the best way. Pop them out of the mold, keep them chilled, and you have an impressive, preservative-free bite ready to go for up to four days.

Place the chopped dark chocolate and coconut oil in a small saucepan over the lowest heat setting, stirring constantly until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth, about 3–4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 tsp peppermint extract.
Using a small spoon or pastry brush, coat the inside of each cavity of a 24-cup silicone mini muffin pan with a thin, even layer of the melted chocolate, working it about 3/4 of the way up the sides. Reserve the remaining melted chocolate for sealing the cups. Refrigerate the pan for 10 minutes, until the chocolate shells are firm to the touch.
