This cocktail is bright, bold, and just the right amount of dangerous — a citrus-forward margarita with a slow, building heat that sneaks up on you in the best way. The secret is a quick homemade jalapeño honey syrup that replaces the usual processed simple syrup or store-bought mixes, which can hide all kinds of unwanted additives. Honey and fresh jalapeño steep together in minutes, giving you a clean, naturally sweet heat that pairs beautifully with the sharp bite of fresh-squeezed lime and orange juice. Using 100% agave blanco tequila keeps everything pure and straightforward — no fillers, no mystery ingredients, just real spirits the way they should be. A flaky sea salt rim adds that classic margarita contrast without any of the flavored salt blends that sometimes sneak in unwanted extras. Whether you're hosting a crowd or just treating yourself on a Friday night, this one shakes up fast and looks stunning in the glass.

Combine the honey, water, and jalapeño slices in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the honey fully dissolves, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat and let the jalapeño steep for 5 minutes, then strain out the slices through a fine-mesh strainer. Let the syrup cool to room temperature before using.
If rimming the glasses, spread a thin layer of flaky sea salt on a small flat plate. Run a lime wedge around the rim of each rocks glass, then press the rim into the salt to coat. Fill each glass with ice.
