This bright, citrus-forward cocktail is everything a great margarita should be ā tart, a little sweet, and completely refreshing. Instead of the triple sec or orange liqueur found in most classic recipes, this version uses fresh orange juice and a simple honey syrup to bring balance and natural sweetness. The result is a cleaner, more vibrant drink that lets the 100% agave tequila and fresh-squeezed lime really shine. Shaking it hard over ice until the shaker frosts up is the key step that gives you that perfectly chilled, slightly diluted texture you want in a well-made cocktail. A salted rim is optional but highly recommended ā that contrast of salt against the citrus is hard to beat. With just a handful of whole, recognizable ingredients, you never have to second-guess what's in your glass.
