This smoky, vibrant dip is one of those recipes that looks impressive on a table but comes together with surprisingly little effort — and it serves six, making it perfect for gatherings or a week's worth of snacking. Charred red bell peppers form the sweet, deeply savory base, while dry-roasted walnuts add richness and a satisfying texture that keeps every bite interesting. What makes this such a natural fit for an anti-inflammatory approach is the lineup of ingredients doing real work: extra virgin olive oil, walnuts, fresh lemon juice, and spices like cumin and smoked paprika are all celebrated for their beneficial compounds. Pomegranate molasses brings a tangy-sweet depth that you genuinely cannot fake with a substitute, and a finishing drizzle of olive oil ties everything together beautifully. The process of roasting and steaming the peppers before blending is what separates a great muhammara from a flat one — that step concentrates the flavor and gives the dip its signature silky-yet-rustic consistency. A scatter of pomegranate seeds and fresh parsley on top makes it look like something you'd order at a restaurant. Scoop it up with warm flatbread, pile it onto grain bowls, or use it as a sandwich spread — it's endlessly versatile.

Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). Place the whole red bell peppers on a baking sheet and roast, turning once halfway through, for 20–25 minutes, until the skins are deeply charred and blistered all over.
Transfer the roasted peppers to a bowl, cover tightly with plastic wrap or a plate, and let them steam for 10 minutes. Peel off and discard the charred skins, then remove the stems and seeds. Pat the pepper flesh dry with a paper towel.
