Warm, bubbling fruit filling crowned with a golden, coconut-kissed crumble — this dessert is the kind of thing that makes a kitchen smell absolutely incredible. The topping comes together with cassava flour, tapioca starch, and shredded coconut, giving it a satisfyingly crisp, slightly chewy texture that sets it apart from a standard oat-based crumble. Maple syrup sweetens both the berry filling and the topping naturally, while a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and a touch of Ceylon cinnamon keep the flavors bright and balanced. Arrowroot starch thickens the berry layer as it bakes, so you get that gorgeous, jammy consistency without any gummy or starchy aftertaste. Many warming spice blends and pre-made dessert mixes sneak in turmeric for color, but every ingredient here is straightforward and easy to verify — no hidden additions to worry about. The technique is genuinely simple: toss, layer, scatter, and bake until golden and bubbling. Whether you serve it straight from the dish or let it cool a little so the filling sets up properly, it's the kind of effortless, crowd-pleasing dessert you'll come back to again and again.
