Warm, bubbling fruit filling topped with a golden, nutty crumble ā this dessert is the kind of thing that makes people hover near the oven waiting for it to come out. The berry base gets tossed with maple syrup, a touch of cinnamon and ginger, and a squeeze of lemon juice, so every spoonful is bright, jammy, and just a little spiced. Arrowroot starch does the quiet work of thickening the filling as it bakes, giving you that perfect scoopable texture without any gumminess. The topping is where things get really good: rolled oats, almond flour, and sliced almonds come together with coconut oil and maple syrup into loose, crunchy clusters that stay crisp even after resting. Since every single ingredient here is naturally plant-based and whole-food, there's zero guesswork about what's in it ā no hidden additives, no questionable fillers. It works beautifully with fresh or frozen berries, which means you can pull this together any time of year with whatever you have on hand. Let it rest those full ten minutes before serving and the filling will set into something truly worth the wait.
